Article 1. Consent for Collection and Use of Personal Information

Pursuant to the “Personal Information Policies” of CSL, customers’ consent to collecting, using, delegating for treatment, and providing to third parties their personal information is made when customers read and understand the details written on the “Consent to Collection, Use of Personal Information” attached to the “Customer Registration” or the “Enquiry,” etc., and then confirm and agree the written consent.

 

Article 2. Purposes of Collection and Use of Personal Information

CSL collects personal information necessary to make reservations and provide various services. Where a customer does not prepare relevant information for the required items, it is impossible for the customer to use the services, but even if a customer does not enter the relevant information for the selected items, the customer is not limited to the use of the services.

Article 3. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information to Third Parties

  1. CSL will not, at any time, use the personal information outside the boundaries of the “Purposes of Collection and Use of Personal Information” or provide such information to a third party or a business/institution.
  2. CSL does not provide the personal information, except for the following cases: Provision of such information as required by related laws and regulations or upon the demand of an investigative authority for investigative purposes and according to procedures and methods determined by law.

 

Article 4. Consignment of Collected Personal Information

Consent to Provisions of Information to Delegated Companies for Use of Services: CSL delegates the treatment of personal information as follows in order to provide required services to customers and promote customers’ conveniences. When CSL delegates treatment of personal information, through delegation agreements, etc., we set forth and comply with the obligations to observe relevant laws related to personal information protection, to keep secrets related to personal information, not to provide personal information to third parties, to take responsibilities for accidents, and to return or destroy personal information after the completion of treatment, etc.

Article 5. Personal Information Retention/Usage Period and Destruction

  1. CSL immediately destroys all personal information upon the achievement of the purposes of the collection or provision of such information mentioned below. The time of the destruction of the relevant information is as follows: Information collected for providing services: Upon the completion of the request for information
  2. Provided, however, the following information will be retained by CSL for the necessary period for various purposes, including confirming the management duty of transactions, pursuant to related regulations and internal policy:

In order to anticipate your needs, CSL provides links to other web sites for your convenience and information CSL is not responsible or liable for any content presented by or contained on any independent web site, including, but not limited to, any advertising claims or marketing practices. Please note that while CSL will protect your information on CSL owned and operated web sites, we cannot control and will not be responsible for the privacy policies of third party web sites not controlled or authorized by The Accommodation. Third-party web sites that are accessed through links on our web sites have separate privacy and data collection practices and security measures. We have no responsibility or liability for the practices, policies, and security measures implemented by third parties on their web sites. We encourage you to contact them to ask questions about their privacy practices, policies, and security measures before disclosing any personal information. We recommend that you review the privacy statements and policies of linked web sites to understand how those web sites collect, use, and store information.

Article 8. Technical/Institutional Management of Personal Information

CSL seeks the following technical measures to prevent loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage and ensure the safety of personal information of customers:

  1. All personal user information is protected by a password, and important data are protected by an additional security function that encrypts or locks files of transmitting data.
  2. CSL adopts the Secure Socket Layer which ensures safe transmission of personal information on the network using encryption algorithms.
  3. CSL uses a double firewall to block unpermitted access and prevent the leakage of personal user information through hacking, and monitors outside intrusion 24 hours-a-day with the installation of an Intrusion
  4. Detection System on each server.
  5. CSL limits the number of staff authorized to handle personal information, conducts training to emphasize the adherence of its principle, and immediately corrects any problems that may arise in this regard.
    1. CSL is not liable for accidents caused by the users or situations resulting from the inherent dangers of the Internet.
    2. In the case of the loss, leakage, alteration, or damage of personal information as a result of mishandling by an internal manager or technical management problems, CSL will immediately notify the user and take appropriate measures.

 

Article 9. Protection of Personal Information of Users Under the Age of 14

CSL, in principle, does not collect personal information of users under the age of 14. Provided, however, if the collection of such information is deemed necessary, CSL will adhere to the related laws and notices.

 

Article 10. Transmission of Advertisement Information

  1. CSL will not transfer any personal information to third parties for advertisement purposes
  2. CSL will take the following measures in the subject title and the content section of e-mails containing on-line marketing advertisement information, including product information, to assist the users’ recognition of such e-mails:
    1. E-mail subject title: All subject titles shall begin with “(News Letter)”, followed by a brief description of the content of the e-mail.
    2. E-mail content section: All e-mails shall clearly contain the name, e-mail address, telephone number, and address of the sender so as to enable the user to refuse further e-mail transmissions. Users will be informed in both Korean and English on how to reject such future e-mails.
    3. For-profit advertisement e-mails containing information on internet websites related to content relevant to each of the above four clauses will be identified with the wording “(Advertisement)” in the subject title of the e-mail.

 

Article 11. Notification Duty

  1. Any addition, removal, or modification of the Privacy Statement in accordance with the policies of the Korean government or The Accommodation will be notified through dwell Dongdaemun web site seven days prior to such addition, removal or modification. However, if there are significant changes in user rights, such as the collection and use of personal information and provision of third parties, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance.

The Privacy Statement will come into effect on June 01, 2020, and will substitute the previous Personal Information Protection Policy. (The Korean language version will take precedence over the English version.)
